A Lost Robot, a Mystery-Solving Hedgehog and Much More at Crossing Border Kids

Kids will discover wonderful books and stories, and get creative at Crossing Border Kids!

Imagine a writer reading aloud in Spanish, or an illustrator showing how a story comes to life on paper, followed by a chance to get creative yourself. On Sunday 8 November, writers and illustrators from across Europe will come to Theater De Vaillant for Crossing Border Kids.

The programme includes Marta Altés with Big Tiger, Jarvis with Bear and Bird, Jean-Claude Mourlevat with Jefferson, Sara De Martino with Lilli, and many more.

Children can listen, ask questions, and take part in workshops with the writers and illustrators. Many of the programmes are bilingual, so alongside Dutch, visitors may also hear Spanish, English, German, French, Italian, or Turkish.

Adult supervision is required for all programmes. A maximum of one adult may accompany each child. A ticket for Crossing Border Kids is valid for the entire day.

Little Ravens Book Club

Crossing Border Kids is looking for enthousiastic young readers for our Little Ravens Book Club. Read a book and meet the  author at the Crossing Border Kids festival on November 8th at Theater de Vaillant in The Hague.

What can you expect?

• You'll read your chosen book before the festival.
• In October you will receive a letter with information and activities related to the book.
• You will prepare a few questions for the author.
• During the festival you will meet the author and get to speak with him/her. There will be an interpreter.
• You will get Free tickets for the festival, for 1 kid and 1 adult.
