What's NXT?
NXT is the YA programme of Crossing Border featuring international and Dutch writers and music acts, book clubs and more. Rising stars and big names. Each November we have a NXT special event during the Crossing Border Festival and throughout the year multiple events in our own Borderkitchen venue in The Hague.

Curious about the person behind the book and the story that inspired it? Or looking for new friends to share your reading adventures with? Then you've come to the right place! Join us at our YA event on the 4th of November, Crossing Border NXT. This year we'll dive into how it is growing up as Gen Z. We'll discuss themes such as identity, activism, climate change and more. An interview with writer Malavika Kannan from NY, who is making waves in the U.S. with her recently published book "Unprecedented Times". Poetry by Jowi Len and live music by Fuzzy Teeth. On November 7th international star Rebecca F. Kuang will come to the festival to talk about her new book Taipei Story. Followed by a book signing.

New this year is the 'what's nxt bookclub'. The first one is already upon a capacity. September 29th we'll discuss "Taipei Story" by R.F. Kuang, who's also coming to Crossing Border on Nov 7th. The event is hosted by Lau Feenstra (read by/via Instagram). Stay tuned for the next bookclub announcement!
