Xavier Salomó - A Terrific Gift/The Amazing Creepy Granny House (4-8 years)

Xavier Salomó wanted to be a film director, a painter and a cartoonist. He was born in Sabadell, Catalunya. He took the test of entry into the Fine Arts and from that failure came the opportunity to discover The Enlightenment. He will always be grateful to those who felt he was not fit to paint. He has more than 100 illustrated books, half of which have been made in tandem with Meritxell Marti.

At Crossing Border Kids he will present the books “A Terrific Gift” and “The Amazing Creepy Granny House”  followed by an interactive workshop. 

In “A Terrific Gift” the most familiar monsters have gathered to enjoy a terrific feast. Until it's time to unwrap the gifts to discover the most spooky and disgusting presents! “The Amazing Creepy Granny House” shares the memorable story of a grandson visiting her granny to spend a very special evening together. To his surprise, when the kid arrives in the old Victorian style house, there is a note for him: a mouth-watering snack awaits in the kitchen. After having a delicious eye-popping chocolate smoothie the young boy chases the kitten room by room until dusk. By the time the full-moon is coming, the big date approaches and so does the punchy plot that gives a unique twist on the haunted house cliché.
