For musician and composer Tom America, this quintessential artist’s dilemma is reason enough to transform Bogaers’ story into music. The result is the album ja ik ben vastgelopen (Yes, I’m Stuck), a musical artwork built around Paul Bogaers’ voice and narrative. Additional contributions come from artist Joost Conijn (een wolk van angst, A Cloud of Fear), and the closing piece offers a meditation on the futility of art by none other than Jos Houweling (Soms, Sometimes).
