Olga Tokarczuk

Olga Tokarczuk (born 1962, Poland) is considered the most important Polish writer of her generation. A multiple recipient of the Nike Award, Poland’s highest literary honor, she was awarded the 2018 Nobel Prize in Literature and won the Man Booker International Prize. In 2024, she received the European Literature Prize together with translator Karol Lesman for her novel Empusion.
