Her long-awaited second novel Nachtfilm deals with the thin line between fact and fiction. On a cold October evening, the young and beautiful Ashley Cordova is found dead in an abandoned warehouse in Manhattan. It appears she has committed suicide, but investigative journalist Scott McGrath suspects there is more to the story. He has been following the Cordova family for years and is obsessed with Stanislas Cordova, a famous film-noir director and Ashley’s father.

The film rights to Nachtfilm have already been acquired by Chernin Entertainment. Rupert Wyatt, director of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, will direct the adaptation.
