Jeanette Winterson

The English author Jeanette Winterson has published the book De stenen goden. De stenen goden is a remarkably rich novel. It is a critical story about the pollution and depletion of a planet, a timeless love story, and a classic science fiction tale about super-intelligent robots learning to develop emotions. Winterson made her debut in 1985 with Sinaasappelen zijn niet de enige vruchten. Other works by her include De passie, Op het lichaam geschreven and Vuurtorenwachten.

More than 25,000 copies of Op het lichaam geschreven were sold in the Netherlands. Winterson received the English Whitbread Prize for Best First Novel for Sinaasappelen zijn niet de enige vruchten and the American E.M. Forster Award.
