S.A. Cosby

Anthony Award-winning US writer S.A. Cosby will be joining us on April 13 to talk about his latest novel, Razorblade Tears. The author from Southeastern Virginia is hailed as a master of the ‘Southern Noir’ crime genre, and his second book Blacktop Wasteland was a New York Times bestseller. In his third novel Razorblade Tears, published in 2021 and recently translated into Dutch, Cosby explores the story of two fathers of a murdered multi-racial gay couple. Both fathers – one Black and one white – have their own criminal pasts and personal demons, but bonded by a love for their dead sons, they band together in their desperate desire for revenge. In their quest to do better for their sons in death than they did in life, hardened men Ike and Buddy Lee will confront their own prejudices about their sons and each other, as they rain down vengeance upon those who hurt their boys.
