We are very happy to announce we will continue online with BorderKitchen and will regularly livestream interviews, readings and (hopefully) some out of this world freestyle performances of exciting international authors.

Jasper Henderson will interview Sandro Veronesi in English. Afterwards, people joining in can ask questions. The session will start with an introduction and explanation as to how these online interviews will work.

SANDRO VERONESI

Sandro Veronesi (1959) is one of the foremost Italian authors writing today. A recipient of the Premio Campiello and the Premio Strega, Italy’s biggest literary awards, his writings are internationally acclaimed and his work has been translated into dozens of languages. His novels The Force of the Past and Quiet Chaos became international bestsellers. In 2016, he won the Europese Literatuurprijs for his novel Terre Rare.

He will talk about his newly released novel De Kolibrie. In De Kolibrie, we are given a fascinating insight into Marco Carrera’s life journey, a true hero of our time, one that only Sandro Veronesi is able to create. It is a breathtaking novel about pain and the pitfalls of life, that has been proclaimed Book of the Year by the most important newspaper in Italy, the Corriere della Sera.
