Orhan Pamuk 2017

AUTHOR

ORHAN PAMUK

In 2006, Orhan Pamuk (Istanbul, 1952) received the Nobel Prize for Literature. His rich oeuvre consists of, among others, The Black Book, My Name is Red, Snow, The Museum of Innocence and A Strangeness in My Mind, and has been translated into more than 50 languages. His newest, fiercely socially critical novel, The Red-Haired Woman, is about the friendship between a well-digger and his apprentice, a great love and a tragic loss. It’s about the East and the West, tradition and the modern world, innocence and murder. On Saturday, September 23rd, Pamuk will appear at the Lutherse Kerk in conversation with Chris Keulemans.
