AUTHOR
ERLEND LOE
Erlend Loe (Norway) began his career as a filmmaker. As an author, he achieved his international breakthrough in 1996 with the novel Naïve. Super. His unique style, full of humour, irony and melancholy, has made him a true cult writer. He has received several literary awards, including the Prix Européen des Jeunes Lecteurs in 2006.
Recently, his novel Volvo Trucks was published, a standalone sequel to Doppler (2006). In Volvo Trucks, Doppler retreats into the forest in protest against the world in general and Norway in particular, where he is more or less held hostage by two eccentric elderly people who involve him in their ongoing neighbourly feud.
