Students from various schools have become acquainted with rhythm in poetry and poetry in music. They listened to the work of Elten Kiene and Broeder Dieleman, studied it and let themselves get inspired to write their own poetry. In Broeinest, they perform their work.
Music and poetry are inseparably linked and influence each other. Students listened to the two artists and unravelled the musicality of poetry and spoken word. They worked in various formats and each wrote a poem, at the basis of which lies the music. They studied the effects of rhythm, harmony and dynamics in their own texts, both on paper and when performed. At Crossing Border, they will share with us the fruits of their labour.
