What’s on?

Every year more than 100 writers, artists, and musicians from all over the world come together during the Crossing Border festival in The Hague. Expect renowned names and exciting new talent. At the 26th edition, events take place all week during the day and in the evening on the multiple stages of Theater aan het Spui, De Nieuwe Kerk, festival tent Katrina, Filmhuis Den Haag and the Centrale Bibliotheek.

During the festival, you can book a room with a discount at Hotel Mercure. The price for a single room is €102,50, and a double room is €112,50, including breakfast and excluding city tax. Bookings via email: H1317-RE1@accor.com, mention Crossing Border in the subject line.

Press and Guests

Press and guests who have an e-ticket (printed or digital) can exchange this for a wristband on the day of the festival from 5 pm onwards at the ticket offices at Theater aan het Spui. Guests without a ticket are welcome at out guest desk at Theater aan het Spui. Entrance at the festival locations can only be given on display of a wristband.

The information desk and wristband exchange are opened during the festival from 5pm until 11 pm.

… by plane
From Rotterdam Airport you can take bus 33 and switch to the Metroline E to The Hague Central Station.
From Schiphol Airport you can take the train to either The Hague Central or The Hague HS

… by train via station The Hague HS (Hollands Spoor)
Take tram 1, 9 or 16 (direction Centrum) and get off at stop Bierkade.

… by train via station The Hague Central Station
Take tram 2, 3, or 6 and get off at stop ‘Spui.’

…by car

Sustainable route

You can reach all festival locations easily on foot or by bike, it’s a 12 minute walk from both train station HS, and only . Use Google Maps to find your way.

P+R Hoornwijck | Laan van Zuid Hoorn 38, Rijswijk
Parking and a day ticket for HTM trams and busses for 4 people:
• Monday-Friday 7 am until 5 pm: €4
• Saturday, Sunday and outside of the aforementioned hours: €2
A tram departs every 10-15 minutes from tram stop Hoornwijck which will take you to the city centre in 13 minutes. The last tram to the P+R leaves around midnight. Click here for more information.
