What does Crossing Border look like through a writer’s eyes? The Chronicles allows up-and-coming young authors to bloom into festival chroniclers. Their stories – from ordinary festival worries to glorious literary or musical discoveries and encounters – are published on the very same evening and translated by a group of translators, also young and up-and-coming. Through this programme, Crossing Border offers a stage to young people from all over the world with a talent for writing or translation. This year’s chroniclers willl be Diego Zúñiga, Fatma Aydemir, Gerda Blees, Roelof ten Napel en Sytske van Koeveringe. Previous chroniclers include Lize Spit (Belgium), Aura Xilonen (Mexico), Bregje Hofstede (Netherlands), Laia Jufresa (Mexico), Sam Byers (UK) and Yan Ge (China).
