The connoisseurs of jazz and tap will probably know Tobias Tak as the dazzling whirlwind dancer who performed alongside such legendary artists as The Nicholas Brothers, Gregory Hines and Jools Holland. However, besides being a talented and renowned tap dancer, Tak is also a gifted illustrator. His first cartoons were published in cult magazine Talent (previously known as Tante Leny presenteert). His short story collection Upside Down was followed by Gaboon’s Daymare, and in 2017, Scratchbooks published Canciones: twenty poems by Federico García Lorca, illustrated by Tak in graphic-novel style, with art direction by Joost Swarte.
