Sytske van Koeveringe

Amsterdam-born Sytske van Koeveringe (1988) is a graduate from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy for Fine Arts and Design, and participated in the first edition of the Dutch Foundation for Literature’s slow writing lab. In her debut novel Het is maandag vandaag (‘Today is Monday’), we are introduced  to Julia, who cleans other people’s houses to get by. Tormented by a disastrous debut, an ex-boyfriend, expectations and other everyday troubles, the thirty-year-old gradually takes possession of the bathtub in number 61 and the living room in 112-D, as well as numerous fridges and bottles of rosé…

On Friday Sytske van Koeveringe shares the stage with Gerda BleesRoelof ten NapelFatma Aydemir and Diego Zúñiga. On Saturday she will be part of The Chronicles. During The Chronicles her work will be translated by Ghislaine van Drunen.
