Nick Mulvey

This troubadour made his first major steps in music with the experimental Portico Quartet, where he was responsible for the rhythmic ‘hang drum’, a kind of huge wok played with knitting needles. Something out of the ordinary. The Brit seems to be made for the upbeat folk songs he writes as a solo artist. The follow up to his first successful album released the 8th of September. Wake Up Now received quite some positieve words from critics. “Nick Mulvey combines the vibrant world-music style of Paul Simon’s Graceland with weighty philosophical and spiritual concerns” – The Times
