Mike McCormack

The latest novel by Irish author Mike McCormack consists of just one single sentence. Solar Bones, which was on the longlist for the Man Booker Prize 2017, contains no full stops. The book is the tale of Marcus Conway, who struggles with problems at home and at work, with his religious background colliding with his belief in technology and its place in society. Since his first book over twenty years ago, Irishman McCormack has shown himself to be everything but a one-sided writer. Perhaps it’s due to his choice of music: for his debut novel, he listened to Scandinavian metal; for Solar Bones, the soundtrack was Hank Williams.

On November the 4rd Mike McCormack shares the stage with Max Porter. They will be interviewed by Jasper Henderson.
