Afghan-Dutchman Massih Hutak (1992), believes in hip hop and in love. And that is admirable, because already at an early age, he had to flee several times and also lost his mother. In 1998 he came to the Netherlands, and Amsterdam-Noord became his home. He studied Dutch for a while and published his first novel When God Still Believed in Us in 2011. He stopped teaching Dutch and Social Studies in 2016 of to fully focus on music. His EP ERROR came out the same year. For Hutak, hip hop is both a party, and a way to talk about society. At Crossing Border you find Massih on stage with his good friend Kerem Ozilhan. Later on the evening he will be part of Huis van Gedichten.
