Lesley Nneka Arimah was born in Great Britain, but describes herself as “Nigerian…ish”. She grew up where her father worked: sometimes in Nigeria, sometimes elsewhere. Her debut What it Means When a Man Falls from the Sky is a collection of short stories in which she imagines how the future will be, through the use of dystopias and fantasies. For example, she sketches a world in which western populations are the refugees. Sometimes surreal and sometimes closer to reality, Arimah shows her fascination for post-apocalyptic worlds.
On November the 3rd Lesley Nneka Arimah shares the stage with Annelies Verbeke. They will be interviewed by Roos van Rijswijk. On Saturday the 4th of November Lesley Nneka Arimah wil be on stage again, but solo.
