L.A. Salami

Yes, L.A. Salami is his real name (or in fact, Lookman Adekunle Salami) and no, he is not from Los Angeles, but from London, where he grew up with a foster family. There wasn’t any money for instruments, so even though he was inspired by Bob Dylan early on, he only learned to play guitar at twenty one. Now, almost a decade later, he belongs to the new generation of folk artists. “They said that love of mine will not wither | That time will bring a treasure trove of things | And the shadows now are just a sliver | But still it stings | But it does not matter | When the poet sings.”
