John Grant

Please take note: this is not a musical performance, but a double interview with Cosey Fanni Tutti.

Musician John Grant has struggled with himself since his youth. During his studies, he started suffering from anxiety disorders, and lived for two decades on the verge of self-destruction. He was an alcoholic, drug addict, turned out to be HIV-positive, and his band The Czars split up. Iceland saved him: he found happiness and love in the country where he felt free and wrote a book about his career and life. Grant has released four solo albums and performs regularly. He also translated the album In the Silence of Ásgeir from Icelandic, one of at least five languages he speaks.

John Grant shares the stage with Cosey Fanni Tutti. They will be interviewed by Leon Verdonschot.
